RehaMed's new pool lift operating device goes wireless
Published September 17, 2008
Keeping to its mission of manufacturing only the highest quality adaptive products in the marketplace, RehaMed International has introduced a new product feature that will facilitate the operation of its lifts with a wireless system, instead of a typical corded handset. This innovative new option allows for better user control and ease of use in a busy location such as a hotel, community swimming pool or cruise ship. Additionally, RehaMed has designed the system in such a way that it can be either fitted or retrofitted to all pool lifts.
“The wireless control completely changes the operational component of a pool lift,” said John Caden, President and Founder of RehaMed International. “Thorough research, a finger on the pulse of what the disabilities community needs and advancements in
technology have enabled RehaMed to
continually create a more efficient and
effective products.”
The new wireless handset, also called a fob, provides a number of advantages over the traditional wired handset. The completely waterproof device comes with an expandable wrist lanyard that gives the user complete control of the lift and eliminates the possibility of another user leaving the handset where it cannot be accessed. Additionally, to curb damage or misuse in a crowded public setting, fobs can be issued only to people who will actually use the lift.
The wireless system is available today through any RehaMed reseller.
